Sd. Ah. 23/1 generator trailer
This is a complete new build of a trailer which was designed to carry the small field generator used by signals and artillery units. In this case, it is used to power the signals equipment, lights in the tents and spotlights for the medical facilities. The design is based on a number of original photographs showing field made trailers. The designation assigned was the same as the factory made trailers, as they carried the same power units.
Both side panels open for ventilation, the rear doors open in order to start the generator and top lifts up in order to allow refuelling. In the front, a number of fuel cans are carried as well as the tool/spares box. Details of the generator can be found here.
